Our Construction and engineering insurance products cover all types of building and civil engineering construction such as residential housing (individual or large estates), commercial development such as office blocks, factories, shopping centres etc. and civil infrastructure such as roads, bridges, sewerage reticulation, pipelines etc., indemnifying you, as the contractor, against the hazards such as fire and explosion, theft, burglary, collapse, earthquake, storm and floods, that may threaten these works whilst under construction. In some cases, construction projects include certain elements of machinery erection e.g. installation of air-conditioning and lifts in buildings. Performance and Retention Guarantees may also be required.
Public Liability plays a large part of any contractor’s risk against third party claims for any bodily injury or property damage caused by construction activities.
These covers can be taken as single policies or as a comprehensive package, depending on your specific requirements as a contractor.
Who Should Take Out This Cover
